Footdee is an area of Aberdeen, known by locals as 'Fittie'. It is an old fishing village at the east end of Aberdeen Harbour. We worked alongside Open Road to produce a community centred exhibition and illustrated map.
We wanted to celebrate the quirky and unique nature of Fittie and its' residents, through the use of strong colour and illustrative style.
Through a series of hanging displays, we helped to tell the stories of different projects which had been undertaken in and around the village. Culture Collective, Open Road and the Fittie Community trust had run a series of initiatives under ‘Safe Harbour, Open Sea’.
These community projects and engagement were also displayed through illustrated buildings, characters and more that are unique to the character of Fittie.
